Here’s an update on what’s in the works here at Step 2. There are three episodes nearing completion, but I want to have more ready to go before publishing begins.

 

1) Penny Arcade Expo: Take This, Child’s Play

I attended PAX East in Boston, where I had the chance to speak with Take This, a non-profit seeking to highlight mental health issues within the gaming community. I also got the chance to speak with Penny Arcade’s Jerry Holkins about Child’s Play, a charity that provides hospitals with resources (such as toys and games) that improve the hospital environment for sick children.

 

2) Jennifer Vibert: International aid worker

I spoke with Jenn about her experiences working overseas in the Philippines relief effort after Typhoon Haiyan, her career path from high school to international aid worker, and her future endeavours with UNICEF in Zambia.

 

3) Alex Gill: Founder, Mendicant Group, social impact consulting

Alex Gill shares his thoughts about innovation in the social impact space, how to motivate young entrepreneurs, and what he terms the “portfolio career”.
